| SIT & DRAW Art Competition |
|
A SIT & DRAW Art Competition for school children will be organised by the Birla Academy of Art & Culture on February 19, 2012 (Sunday) from 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. The competition is open to school students from 5 to 12 years of age, divided in three categories on the basis of their age -
Group I 5 to 6 years
Group II 6+ to 9 years
Group III 9+ to 12 years
Forms may be collected directly from our office. The entry forms are to be submitted to the office of the Academy duly filled in at least 3 days earlier the scheduled date for competition.
The Academy will supply only drawing papers (15” x 10”) and participants are requested to bring all other necessary drawing/painting materials, plastic pots for water including board with them. The competitors will be at liberty to choose any medium, except oil colour.
The subject for the competition will be announced on the spot and the competitors will be given a maximum time of 2 hours.
The entries will be examined by a judging committee whose decision will be final. Three prizes will be awarded to the best entries in each section. A consolation prize will also be given to each participant. An exhibition of the prize winning and selected entries will be held in the Academy on a suitable date which will be intimated afterwards.
