Title: Durga killing Mahishasura

This represents an eighteen handed Durga, standing on her mount, a lion and the demon Mahishasura. Her right leg is placed at the back of her lion while her left leg is seen pressing the chest of green bodied demon. No attribute is noticed in any of her eighteen hands. Conceived in her three quarter profile the goddess is seen wearing a sari and attaired in different kinds of ornaments. Her act of killing the demon is being watched by a royal male and a female standing to her right. Folkish in character it follows the mannerisms of contemporary scroll paintings.
